“PENTECOST WILL SET YOUR RELIGION ON FIRE!” Sermon by Pastor Guy Parrish, under the anointing

And there’s something tragically missing out of the Church today. And it’s not décor and it’s not entertainment, and it’s not just a good time and it’s not just even feeling good when you leave. It’s that experience that comes from God that is subsequent to salvation, and it’s called THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST.

HE said there is one coming after me that’s going to give you a baptism in FIRE, and that Holy Ghost is that fire.

My question this morning is this—do you have that baptism of the Holy Ghost? I made up my mind this morning that I’m preaching what God wants me to preach because there needs… to be… A REVIVAL. THERE NEEDS TO BE AN ANOINTING. THERE NEEDS TO BE A PENTECOST.

And you know what, Pentecost is not dead, the Church is not dead. You know how I know the Church is not dead, because God is not dead. As long as God’s alive, the Church is alive. As long as there is breath in God, they’ll be breath in the Church.

Now some of you have the evidence of religion on your fingers, and you have it in your lap and you have it on your lips. And you come to Church, but you leave out just as empty as you come. That’s never God’s plan. God wants you to be filled UP. God wants you to be full.

God said out of your belly shall flow rivers of Living. Water. It’s not dead streams or dead ponds; it’s Living WATER. I want you to know that if there’s ever been a time that we need a baptism of the Holy Ghost, IT IS TODAY. It’s Pentecost now, why wait another year, why wait another ten years. Why say, “well it’s for somebody else, but it’s not for me?” I can tell you, every promise in the Book is for you!

Everything GOD ever said will come to pass—WILL come to pass, but you’ve GOT TO WANT IT BAD ENOUGH! ARE you FULL of the Spirit of GOD this morning!

WE need a baptism of POWER and of FIRE; and THANK GOD I want you to know it only comes with desire! You’ve got to want it bad enough. Why, because the Power of the Holy Ghost is more powerful than demons, it’s more powerful than devils, it’s more powerful than religion. HE’s more powerful than anything you could possibly imagine.

You talk about nuclear power, brother THIS is a greater power than NUCLEAR power. THIS IS THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST!! You need to be baptized with HIM. And if the Church could ever learn this and understand this, this is where our power is at.

It’s NOT in the program. It’s NOT in the entertainment, it’s not in the great musicians that we have or the halfway decent pastors—that sometimes he is—it’s NONE of that! You see the problem is we’ve LOST sight of where the real power is. We need to be full of the HOLY Ghost. We need Pentecost breathed back into us; we need to take note that JESUS is in the house—and the WORLD needs to take note that we’ve BEEN WITH JESUS! Because when we’ve been with Jesus, things are going to happen—devils are going to be bashed and devils are going to be cast out, and miracles are going to HAPPEN because GOD IS A GOD OF POWER, AND DON’T YOU EVER FORGET IT! He STILL BAPTIZES in the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah.

Let Pentecost set your religion on fire.

Test Out your Faith!

True story.
This was good to me.

It's called, "Test Out your Faith!" That's what I'm standing on.

OK,

So today was a really busy day for us, being a holiday and all. Family was bustling about, chatter, gladness and excitement. I was glad that we had a day where we could all just hang out and be around each other. I love those days. A lot.

Today was a particularly difficult day for me, being that my stomach began aching throughout the day. I know why and I'm sure most women know why; and I will not bore you with the details. I made an attempt to be usual about the day, interacting and just being present.

Most times I can get into "my own world," where it's just me and Jesus. Music, fellowship, a time of adoration. So, this day I really wanted to make an effort to be "present." Try to, at least.

My stomach was warring against me [ooooo, dramatic, I know]. But, enjoy this! I'm a writer! lol :} So yeah my stomach was warring against me and it's so bad for me on the first day. Awful, man.

I was in and out of spending time with my family; up and down the stairs.

Then finally of about four hours, I went upstairs to bed [it's still daylight, remind you! and, family is HERE!] to sleep it off. Sleeping it off works for me. Because, my mind is at rest and I am unable to focus on my aches and pains.

Was resting for a few minutes and then the Holy Spirit comforted me with "Ask and it shall be given unto you." ...I was like, HEY, WHY NOT :} [PRAISE GOD!] \o/

So I place my hand on my belly while still lying down; fetal position, hello!

And asked the Lord to take the pain away in Jesus' name so that I could enjoy my family. It was not a lengthy prayer, but it wasn't a two-second one either. Amen so I got up, believed it within me; said "And it is so" within me. And, went downstairs fairly immediately.

The pain subsided. I was able to even get down with my sisters and play some hardcore WII! lol. The aches did not come back. [AMEN!]

SO I SAY UNTO YOU,
TEST OUT YOUR FAITH!

When you test out your faith, YOU are not testing God! You are not. No man can. Try your FAITH, not your GOD. Check your FAITH, not your God.

Amen?!
Amen.

Grow in grace, dear friends. Grow in grace.

THANK YOU GOD, WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY! TEACH ME DEAR GOD AND HELP ME TO STAND--STAND ON YOUR WORD! TO PUT IT INTO ACTION! YOUR WORDS CANNOT COME BACK TO YOU VOID, AMEN. TRIED AND TRUE. YES!

I came across this video one evening on Twitter, actually. A couple of weeks ago, may be. My instincts told me, "'Oh my GOD' is right." And then, another day-- I was flipping through my concordance for the word "knoweth," something else the Lord and I were studying. And behold; flipping, at the top of the page, the word "HAILSTONES." Five biblical references. Therefore I blog.

CONFESS!!

Today I sent my mom and my older sister both a text message, saying,
"I need Dad to get a job, more than I want a job."

We are to pray, and not complain.

"God is more than just an experience."

Have you ever had such a great time in the Spirit, that afterward, you ate something and sat [meditated] on some of the revelation you received? ...But, you didn't share it? [AMEN].

"God is more than just an experience."

• Share that revelation.
• Share that experience [that happening, that story]. [AMEN].

Some things will be just for you [God's hidden treasure], other things he'll want you to share. Please ask Him, He will help you.

Today after communing with our God, I was given, "God is more than just an experience." I then thought about it for a while and yes, HE is.. He is more than that. HE is above that; Higher than I.

So after this moment, I look up-- open my curtains and see a UPS truck sitting outside, parked across the street. Guy gets out and I watch him walk to the door. I just KNEW it was my CD, right!! My CD by Central Worship, "We Are Your People," LIVE that I ordered about five days ago! I was enjoying a quiet and silent rejoicing within me. All I could think about was experiencing GOD! I lie to you not. The main song on that album that I have heard, is called "Amazing." And my Spirit within me said, "AMAZING." Some of the lyrics of that song are,

So Amazing. Awesome, mighty King. God of eternity, the One Who first loved me.

I was ready to experience God all over again. And again, and again; thanks to the anointing upon this album. [AMEN]. So, I wait until the UPS guy rides off and I go downstairs, right.. only to find a box from fragrancenet.com.

My mom had ordered something from there! HAHAHAHA, it wasn't my album; it wasn't even my package! lol.

...The next time you're hype on experiencing God, consider the words from the Almighty HIMSELF.. "God is more than just an experience." Find out what HE wants you to do with all of that ANOINTING HE has so freely given you. [AMEN].

"THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME."

Alright, so a lot of this is going on and I'm just going to put it out there, thanks to obedience. God shared this with me over the last few days.

June 7-9, 2010,
"PRAY FOR THE UNBELIEVING! THE UNBELIEVING AND THE BELIEVERS WHO ARE UNBELIEVING!"

"THE BELIEVERS WHO ARE UNBELIEVING" are the Pharisees and the Sadducees; the hypocrites. Yet, not only the hypocrites, but also those who NEVER COME TO THE TRUE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST. They're unable to because they are ever-learning, yet their spiritual mind has been shut up.

There are a ton of hypocrites in The Church [the Body of Christ; THE PEOPLE]. Honoring God with their lips/mouth, yet not showing it through faith/action. I, being me, would think this was simply milk, but truly it is meat. Meat for all.

I know my Abba Father and the Spirit of His children.
Spirit recognizes Spirit.

I'm protective of My God.

Yes, you may be able to fool those people with itching ears, who seek to feed their carnal mind, but the Spirit of God knows who are His.

The lesson I was instructed to share. And yes it's in order [that which it was given to me]--

Pharisees and Defilement

Disobedient angels

Me and my little sis had a great conversation today, let me tell you. One of the best conversations I have had in about A YEAR. My birth-sister, ok. She is growing so much in all areas of her life I praise God! It's so great. Thank you, Lord.

CONTINUE TO MOLD HER LORD, FOR YOUR GLORY. SPEAK TO HER HOLY SPIRIT AND ALLOW HER TO DRAW NIGH TO YOU DEAR LORD. KEEP HER FATHER IN ALL AREAS OF HER LIFE, JESUS. I THANK YOU NOW LORD AND GLORIFY YOU IN ADVANCE. THANK YOU JESUS. IN JESUS' NAME I PRAY, AMEN.

This is a good one. A good friend in the Lord shared a video on Spiritual Warfare and I found this excerpt after clicking around YouTube :]



"I am a soldier in the army of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my Code of Conduct. Faith, prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army; but I will not get out, sell out, be talked out, or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there. If He needs me in the Sunday school, to teach the children, work with the youth, help adults or just sit and learn, He can use me because I am there.

I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for, or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.

When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my need. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ. The devil cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to Captain and then allow me to rule with Him. I am a soldier in the army, and I'm marching, claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not run around. I am a soldier, marching heaven bound."
