The Birth of my Son
I hope that everyone has gotten the memo: I have moved to Wordpress at http://danielandwhitney.wordpress.com. I love this blog so much, that I do not want to leave it. The Lord has allowed me to inspire and encourage so many people on here, that it is amazing. I am so glad to know all of you. I cannot commit to blogging on here as much, as this was for the LORD. I do not want to include too many personal posts on here. I will come back every now and then, Lord willing to update you on my family and family-life. The Lord has been so good to us.
My son was born on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 5:43 am at 8lbs 1oz and 20 inches long. I am so amazed that I have a son now. It's our first child and we are so in love. He is a joy to watch, the way his eyes move around the room and how he smiles in his sleep. The Lord is good, he is almost 3 weeks old today. Be blessed, family.

A closer walk: A Thousand Words Thursday #12

"and God talked with him"
The other evening I was reading my Bible, flipping through like I normally do and ended up at Genesis. I was glad I ended up at Genesis because I wasn't in a "psalms" or "proverbs," or even "new testament" mood.
Genesis 17:1-5,
When I read verse 3, "And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying," I knew I had my next blog post. This is my life's desire. To worship GOD and have Him "talk with me." Sigh, it makes me smile ever so slightly and fills my entire being with joyfulness. The fullness of GOD my God. To have Him know you by name and even change your name to meet His holiness (see v. 5).1And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
I knew I had found the core of my life in this very verse. All I have been saying for more than a year now: "I just want to love God." Loving Him is to worship Him and to worship Him is to obey His commands ("and be thou perfect," v. 1), and to delight in them.
I am so glad I got to blog this. Bless you all much this great day and this holiday season.
Best,
Whitney

Exodus 13:21, A Thousand Words Thursday #11
A glimpse of what Exodus 13:21 may have resembled,

Exodus 13:21
And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
Bless God for the image rendering capabilities used for Good. Our imagination exponentialized (yes, I just said "exponentialized.") Hehe.

“PENTECOST WILL SET YOUR RELIGION ON FIRE!”
And there’s something tragically missing out of the Church today. And it’s not décor and it’s not entertainment, and it’s not just a good time and it’s not just even feeling good when you leave. It’s that experience that comes from God that is subsequent to salvation, and it’s called THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST.
HE said there is one coming after me that’s going to give you a baptism in FIRE, and that Holy Ghost is that fire.
My question this morning is this—do you have that baptism of the Holy Ghost? I made up my mind this morning that I’m preaching what God wants me to preach because there needs… to be… A REVIVAL. THERE NEEDS TO BE AN ANOINTING. THERE NEEDS TO BE A PENTECOST.
And you know what, Pentecost is not dead, the Church is not dead. You know how I know the Church is not dead, because God is not dead. As long as God’s alive, the Church is alive. As long as there is breath in God, they’ll be breath in the Church.
Now some of you have the evidence of religion on your fingers, and you have it in your lap and you have it on your lips. And you come to Church, but you leave out just as empty as you come. That’s never God’s plan. God wants you to be filled UP. God wants you to be full.
God said out of your belly shall flow rivers of Living. Water. It’s not dead streams or dead ponds; it’s Living WATER. I want you to know that if there’s ever been a time that we need a baptism of the Holy Ghost, IT IS TODAY. It’s Pentecost now, why wait another year, why wait another ten years. Why say, “well it’s for somebody else, but it’s not for me?” I can tell you, every promise in the Book is for you!
Everything GOD ever said will come to pass—WILL come to pass, but you’ve GOT TO WANT IT BAD ENOUGH! ARE you FULL of the Spirit of GOD this morning!
WE need a baptism of POWER and of FIRE; and THANK GOD I want you to know it only comes with desire! You’ve got to want it bad enough. Why, because the Power of the Holy Ghost is more powerful than demons, it’s more powerful than devils, it’s more powerful than religion. HE’s more powerful than anything you could possibly imagine.
You talk about nuclear power, brother THIS is a greater power than NUCLEAR power. THIS IS THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST!! You need to be baptized with HIM. And if the Church could ever learn this and understand this, this is where our power is at.
It’s NOT in the program. It’s NOT in the entertainment, it’s not in the great musicians that we have or the halfway decent pastors—that sometimes he is—it’s NONE of that! You see the problem is we’ve LOST sight of where the real power is. We need to be full of the HOLY Ghost. We need Pentecost breathed back into us; we need to take note that JESUS is in the house—and the WORLD needs to take note that we’ve BEEN WITH JESUS! Because when we’ve been with Jesus, things are going to happen—devils are going to be bashed and devils are going to be cast out, and miracles are going to HAPPEN because GOD IS A GOD OF POWER, AND DON’T YOU EVER FORGET IT! He STILL BAPTIZES in the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah.
Let Pentecost set your religion on fire.
Best,
Mark 1:14-15.

A Thousand Words Thursday #6

"I am a soldier in the army of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my Code of Conduct. Faith, prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.
I am a volunteer in this army and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army; but I will not get out, sell out, be talked out, or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there. If He needs me in the Sunday school, to teach the children, work with the youth, help adults or just sit and learn, He can use me because I am there.
I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for, or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.
When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my need. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ. The devil cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to Captain and then allow me to rule with Him. I am a soldier in the army, and I'm marching, claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not run around. I am a soldier, marching heaven bound."

Exodus 13:21-22 KJV
Exodus 13:21-22
21And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
22He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
I've been looking at Exodus lately and came across these scriptures. It made me see God in another form; fully. I was in awe after I read verse 21. God became a cloud, a pillar of fire.
I'm not going to get too profound on you because it's all in the scripture! Hehe. This made me love God deeper. So amazing the scriptures that we never had any idea existed. GLORIOUS God \o/ \o/

Status Update #3
Gardening. New Hobby!
So, my mom and I began our greatly anticipated garden last week! It's so quaint and cute. I'm loving it. From recollection, we have beets, onions, peas, beans, squash, cabbage, lettuce and a few others. We're waiting until around Mother's Day to plant the tomatoes, since that's the presumed best climate for them to grow successfully in.
We went to Lowe's for supplies and here's
one of the pretty pink and green potted plants
I saw! had to snap a picture :)

Looks delightful, but we skipped out on these
and got the Iceberg lettuce.

Recent photo of me at Lowe's. Haha, couldn't
resist. Getting my hair done today too! Can't
wait, I'll try to post a picture under this one
tonight possibly.
Heart Matters/"A Thousand Words Thursday"
There have been several things on my heart lately. Of course number one would be the friendship ordeal, as I blogged about this the other day. Scroll down and you'll see the post. There are so many things that God has revealed unto me since I got saved (praise God, glory) that are not of Him, NOT of His Spirit-- meaning, you cannot put God in it nor can you conform it to fit into a godly mold-- yet, I don't blog about them all.
I reflect more than anything. For one, Yoga is not of God. The word means "to yoke" --it's a form of worship. God forbid. Hip Hop/Rap & R&B are not of God; no explanation needed. Gossip is ultimately dangerous as are the previous other awful mentions. And don't forget
God bless you and I pray that your eyes are awakened to truth or will soon be, in Jesus' name. Mark 1:14-15.
I'm hungry, how's about some messy cherry pie?

Mark 1:14-15,
Whitney
P.S. I don't typically blow hot air-- read about some of the things I talked about in this post by going to the Word:
Jeremiah 10:1-5
[Christmas is not of God/Traditions of man]
Matthew 6:4, Luke 16:13
[Can't serve two masters. Yoga or Jesus Christ?]
Colossians 2:8
[Vain philosophy of men not after the ways of Christ]
2 Corinthians 5:17
[New creature in Christ, can't mix light with darkness/good with evil-- Hip Hop, Rap, R&B]
Matthew 10: 26
[All darkness will be made known]
