God's Still, Small VOICE
Here I am. It has been almost two years since I have blogged on this particular blog. God seems to be moving me in directions that I never would have imagined. I have left the blogging world- but I have not left my Jesus' side. I am still very much saved, sanctified and filled with his precious Holy Spirit. I came to blog on this particular blog today because it seems as though I blog in "seasons." It is usually fall or winter when I blog. Also- my other blog is a marriage/daily life blog. This one is a devotional blog, dedicated completely, wholeheartedly and 100% to my Lord. There are no fillers here.
God is still very much real in my life. It seems like He comes down from Heaven just for me. Just for me. This past week I was in the grocery store and I had a strong urge (unction) to offer to help pay for a customer's groceries in front of me in line at Wal-Mart. It appeared as though they were EBT cardholders. Their card had just been declined and I saw them fumbling with their wallets to find another payment to use. I glanced over at the wall and saw the words "every second counts." I knew this was the Lord speaking to me and letting me know that every moment that I have is precious and matters--it counts toward heaven. Amen. I did not offer to pay for that couples' groceries, admittedly (LORD have mercy on me).
BUT GOD-
A few days later- I received an unexpected check in the mail and I praised the Lord for it because it was a blessing that I had no knowledge of. After getting this check, I still had a very strong urge to "GIVE." The next day I told family and friends (on Facebook) of God's blessing toward me and praised His holy name. I said that I felt like BLESSING somebody, and the first person to send me their mailing address would get a twenty dollar check from me. God showed up once again and a few hours later, someone wrote on my status:
"Thank you for that unexpected check anointing Whitney. Lol I read your status and said I need one of those. An hour later my neighbor calls me and tells me to check my mail. And there was my unexpected check! Thank you Jesus!"
This testimony was not only for the woman who wrote me to tell of it- but for OTHERS to see the faithfulness, fullness and richness of the Lord. Somebody saw her testimony and was BLESSED. Blessed in their spirit and blessed in their soul- and two were blessed in their natural life, receiving checks of their own (the one I presented and the one I received a testimony concerning). I thank God because someone's faith has been increased, somebody's praise has been made just a bit greater, somebody saw the goodness of the Lord. Hallelujah!!
I love you, brothers and sisters. Stay faithful, always abounding in the work of our Lord (I Corinthians 15:58). Never forget that still, small voice- the Holy Spirit who still wants to work in you and through you.
(Blessed to be a Blessing),
Whitney

Sunday Blessings: Getting a prayer through
This is setting the stage for the Holy Spirit to come down.
For example;
- You begin by repenting (outer court),
- Then you move to seeking God's Holy Spirit to come down (holy place),
- And thereafter God's Spirit has began to visit you, you really begin melting in His presence and abiding with Him (inner court, Holy of Holies)
Bless you,
Whitney

Courtship: A Deeper Connection
All are excerpts from this article I'm reading: http://www.boundless.org/2005/answers/a0002415.cfm by John Thomas of Boundless.org.
To love is not to share all the same interests, but it is to value those the other person has.
If marriage is anything, it is a deep-level connection. ... Connecting at deeper levels develops over time as trust grows and as an individual feels they are in a safe place to share at that level.
Enjoying one another’s company is a great starting place for any relationship and obviously a requirement, but we can only talk about the weather for so long.
Conversations that touch at the level of emotions, ranging from joy to pain, are the ones that create heart connection.
Remember what you’re doing: First, you’re trying to discern whether you’re in unity on core values and second, whether you can connect at the level of emotions.Saturday, April 9, 2011
My Faith was on FIRE
This made me think of a very real event in my life. I remember hearing a story on the local news about a little girl who was abused, raped and kept several days by a man close to her. He abused her to the point of her being in a coma I believe. She was near death. They had been reporting on her story for several days now. I remember her story coming again upon the television. They were reporting live from the hospital down the road, following this little girls every move.
I remember the urge to go lay hands on her. Like, literally go put my hands on her and say a prayer. The live coverage was still broadcasting and I walk toward our kitchen window. My faith was on fire within me. I wanted to go to the hospital and go do this thing but I had no one to go with me. I knew this girl was to live. I needed someone to go with me!! Nobody of faith was nearby. I thought of my friend Shannon. She lives not to far from here. I did not call her. I know if she was around that she would go with me. And, she would be praying with me. The girl ended up dying that day.
I think within me. LORD, my faith was on FIRE!!! My faith was on fire!! This is what ministry is about. Two by two saith the Lord! TWO BY TWO!! Lord knows I should have been there, I couldn't go alone so I thought! God is GOOD and I desire to do mighty things in His Name! Lord be with your Best, Your special ones that they may go boldly! Go boldly!! And bring us a friend to come with us along the way!

There is a Call to Repent ..
1. Instead of repenting these men chose to appear righteous to the people. http://bit.ly/gjo4Lm
2.Prophecy 119 - 2011 A Call To Repent Or Perish, YAH Has Your Number!!! http://t.co/yI4iuN2
3. So on February 24, 2011 pastor Wil spoke on Jeremiah 14:10-12, 13, 14-15. If you disregard the call to repent, nothing changes within you. You'll continue to go to church out of form and fashion, but regrettably there will be no inward change. Bless you if this is for you. 1. is to repent, 2. is to acknowledge [sin] through repentance and confession.
4. Now is the parable of the Marriage Feast found in Matthew 22. This came on yesterday.
Matthew 22:2-5
2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
This scripture meant so much to me. As God is not stagnant, His words are neither. There are several revelations of this scripture. One as it relates to our lesson is that many are invited, but few choose to accept.
Don't make light, saints. There needs to be an alarm clock on our lives .. an alarm clock to wake us up from our slumber. God Abba we bless You this day. This day for Your Word, this day for Your son. Make not light of God's call. His hand is upon your life. You must answer His call.
Let us not be like the foolish men in Matthew 22:5 who made light of God's call on their lives.
Bless! And may God abide in you,
W

Enter With Your Eyes Open!: Courtship, Marriage & Covenant
An excerpt from "Reversing the Marriage Implosion: The Covenant" by Dr. Robert Reccord, http://www.believe.com/articles/Relationships/Reversing-the-Marriage-Implosion-The-Covenant/
Enter With Your Eyes Open!
As marriages hurtle into the future before them, we must remind every couple to keep their eyes open for the needs and fears of the other. A wise, seasoned counselor told me years ago that the greatest need of women is security, and her greatest fear is insecurity. Conversely, the greatest need of a man is adequacy, and his greatest fear, inadequacy. If only my wife and I had been told this before we got married, not years later!
Within every wife, there is a little girl craving to hear that she is pretty, valued, treasured and loved. She can handle multiple moves, shaky finances, job difficulties and worse as long as she is relationally secure with her man. Every husband longs to hear, “I’m proud of you because…” He yearns to know he is adequate in his leadership. In conference after conference, women sit stunned when my wife asks men to lower their head and raise their hand on what they would prefer to hear from their wife: “I love you,” or “I’m proud of you.” “I’m proud of you” wins hands down (or up in this case). Even the makers of Viagra and Calais understand a man’s passionate desire to be adequate!
So, what implosions might be avoided if every couple walking toward the altar were clearly guided on the foundational need/fear of their potential mate? It would so clearly show how our IEDs (improvised explosive devices) of words and actions within marriage can rupture the infrastructure of our relationships and bring our homes crashing in around us.
Maybe right now is a good time for you to assess yourself and the needs of the loved one in your life. What do you see that you might not have seen before? What are you going to do about it?

Abba is good. Heh, heh, saw my eyes perk up a bit while reading this. Be blessed.
