Are Unlearned Women More Attractive?

Hey guys! How's everyone! What a great summer this has been so far. Really enjoying myself.

So I have this little philosophy that I wanted to blog about. For some reason or another, I feel like a saved man thinks he can train an unlearned woman. As long as she looks good. A woman who doesn't look good can be learned, but if she's unattractive, she more than likely doesn't have a man or will have a hard time getting one. Plainly: She can be learned and still not have a man because of her looks.

I've seen this in my friendships and even in my own relationship with my sweetheart. For example, I'm still in the learning phase of cooking, but because I am attractive, my fiance can wait. Yet, if I was unattractive and couldn't cook, it would be a different story.

As for the other relationships that I have peeked in on, one girl wasn't saved yet, or where she should be in her spiritual walk as compared to the guy who wanted to talk to her; but because she was cute and looked good, he went for her anyway (that's a problem and may be an extreme annotation).

Yet, I can count four times where I have noticed this. It is somewhat strange to me, although I do know that men are drawn by sight.

What are your thoughts? Will a man talk to a woman who is unlearned just because she looks good?

My Faith was on FIRE

A friend just posted a video about a man being raised from the dead. A doctor who was also a believer and follower of Christ, was led to pray for a man who suffered a massive heart attack and had been dead for over one hour. He was turning blue and his body was beginning to decompose. The man lived.

This made me think of a very real event in my life. I remember hearing a story on the local news about a little girl who was abused, raped and kept several days by a man close to her. He abused her to the point of her being in a coma I believe. She was near death. They had been reporting on her story for several days now. I remember her story coming again upon the television. They were reporting live from the hospital down the road, following this little girls every move.

I remember the urge to go lay hands on her. Like, literally go put my hands on her and say a prayer. The live coverage was still broadcasting and I walk toward our kitchen window. My faith was on fire within me. I wanted to go to the hospital and go do this thing but I had no one to go with me. I knew this girl was to live. I needed someone to go with me!! Nobody of faith was nearby. I thought of my friend Shannon. She lives not to far from here. I did not call her. I know if she was around that she would go with me. And, she would be praying with me. The girl ended up dying that day.

I think within me. LORD, my faith was on FIRE!!! My faith was on fire!! This is what ministry is about. Two by two saith the Lord! TWO BY TWO!! Lord knows I should have been there, I couldn't go alone so I thought! God is GOOD and I desire to do mighty things in His Name! Lord be with your Best, Your special ones that they may go boldly! Go boldly!! And bring us a friend to come with us along the way!

There is a Call to Repent ..

Right now.

There is a call to repent. This is what the Lord wants the saints to know. On February 17, 2011 I came across two accounts where saints were speaking of the Lord's call to repent. One was about "instead of repenting, the people chose to appear righteous before the people." The other was about "a call to repent" and how the LORD GOD has your number. He knows how to reach you but will you answer ..

1. Instead of repenting these men chose to appear righteous to the people. http://bit.ly/gjo4Lm

2.Prophecy 119 - 2011 A Call To Repent Or Perish, YAH Has Your Number!!! http://t.co/yI4iuN2

There are two additional accounts of where I know the Lord was saying that this is dire. His people will not move forward if they do not repent.

3. So on February 24, 2011 pastor Wil spoke on Jeremiah 14:10-12, 13, 14-15. If you disregard the call to repent, nothing changes within you. You'll continue to go to church out of form and fashion, but regrettably there will be no inward change. Bless you if this is for you. 1. is to repent, 2. is to acknowledge [sin] through repentance and confession.

4. Now is the parable of the Marriage Feast found in Matthew 22. This came on yesterday.

Matthew 22:2-5
2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

This scripture meant so much to me. As God is not stagnant, His words are neither. There are several revelations of this scripture. One as it relates to our lesson is that many are invited, but few choose to accept.

Don't make light, saints. There needs to be an alarm clock on our lives .. an alarm clock to wake us up from our slumber. God Abba we bless You this day. This day for Your Word, this day for Your son. Make not light of God's call. His hand is upon your life. You must answer His call.

The Message Version says, "They only shrugged their shoulders and went off, one to weed his garden, another to work in his shop." Matthew 22:5, MSG

Let us not be like the foolish men in Matthew 22:5 who made light of God's call on their lives.

Bless! And may God abide in you,
W

Enter With Your Eyes Open!: Courtship, Marriage & Covenant

An excerpt from "Reversing the Marriage Implosion: The Covenant" by Dr. Robert Reccord, http://www.believe.com/articles/Relationships/Reversing-the-Marriage-Implosion-The-Covenant/

Enter With Your Eyes Open!

As marriages hurtle into the future before them, we must remind every couple to keep their eyes open for the needs and fears of the other. A wise, seasoned counselor told me years ago that the greatest need of women is security, and her greatest fear is insecurity. Conversely, the greatest need of a man is adequacy, and his greatest fear, inadequacy. If only my wife and I had been told this before we got married, not years later!

Within every wife, there is a little girl craving to hear that she is pretty, valued, treasured and loved. She can handle multiple moves, shaky finances, job difficulties and worse as long as she is relationally secure with her man. Every husband longs to hear, “I’m proud of you because…” He yearns to know he is adequate in his leadership. In conference after conference, women sit stunned when my wife asks men to lower their head and raise their hand on what they would prefer to hear from their wife: “I love you,” or “I’m proud of you.” “I’m proud of you” wins hands down (or up in this case). Even the makers of Viagra and Calais understand a man’s passionate desire to be adequate!

So, what implosions might be avoided if every couple walking toward the altar were clearly guided on the foundational need/fear of their potential mate? It would so clearly show how our IEDs (improvised explosive devices) of words and actions within marriage can rupture the infrastructure of our relationships and bring our homes crashing in around us.

Maybe right now is a good time for you to assess yourself and the needs of the loved one in your life. What do you see that you might not have seen before? What are you going to do about it?

Abba is good. Heh, heh, saw my eyes perk up a bit while reading this. Be blessed.

Reading ~ Rene Noorbergen

"Charismatic’s two leading components, speaking in tongues and faith healing, are largely responsible for this, and even such major secular publications as Time and Life have recognized the relentless force of these two elements." ~ http://gospel-herald.com/noorbergen/glossolalia_book_1/g1_ch1_3.htm

I never had any idea that this is what the "Charismatic" denomination was and is, although you probably could infer its meaning from just the definition of this word alone. Now in our political age, we see "Charismatic" as "our president," Martin Luther King Jr, or some similar figure who speaks smooth and convincing words. Never did I realize there was a "Charismatic" denomination ... I did not look at it intently any way. I would see the option, like on a check-box or something, but never did I know what it implied.

Very good to know that Charismatic denomination's two main components are speaking in tongues and faith healing. This may be cause for fear, however, because charismatics (not "charismatics" as in "people," but the act of charisma-- CHARISMATICS) do seem like they would involve irrational, unlikely, and non-conventional doings. Hm. Daunting. Yet, this is what I am passionate about; my new-found word thanks to this book-- "faith healing," miracles, laying of hands, LANGUAGE. So we have Pentecostal/Holiness, Apostolic ... and now "Charismatic."

It seems like much of what we should be reading, and much of what we should know is lost in books. Lost in books in that no one is reading them, no one is passing the information along. If you do not read the books, the information will remain hidden. Tonight I learned a new word, "GLOSSOLALIA." This is pretty much a code-word for THE ACT OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES. ... ahem, an "academic term." It comes from the Greek for "tongue speaking." So I began my search for books on glossolalia. Call me a conspiracist, but everything is hidden. How do we know what to search for if we don't search it out?

A Beacon of Light

It's like, do you know what a beacon of light is? It is an angel. Why do you think people use light for healing powers? They are manipulating the energy in the atmosphere for their own benefit. It is counterfeit.

However,

I say that people are outrageous because [this was the title of this post, but I have modified it for the sake of the sensitive], I was watching the guiding angels segment on the old Discovery Health Channel (new Oprah Winfrey Network) and they had this story where the outline of an angel appeared in the doorway of this little girls hospital room who was about to be taken off life support. The cameras captured the image. The trick to this show is that there was one skeptic, and one believer who were the main constituents of this television program. The girl was a scientist who was set on proving her hypothesis, so they had a professional video expert come in and re-create the image of the light that was captured on the camera.

Quieting myself this day

Quieting myself this day. Grieve not the Holy Spirit: I'd be in a pile of tears from allowing oppression to come in. You have godly sorrow [worship and/or prayer] and then you have oppressive tears [hindrance/confusion].

When tension is in the house, you just want to break free. A stretchy substance that pulls you from right to left. A physiological happening begins in your body; a tightening. They almost want to bop you over the head for binding them. This is the image I got when I bound tension.

Lord God help us not grieve You [not handling things when they arise, not doing all that we need to do in You]. Keep us purified, washed through and through that we may hear from You.

Spirit-filled,
Whitney

"and God talked with him"

That's all I really want. Is for God to talk with me. With the season I'm in and the books I've been reading, and the shows I've come across, the name "God" has become so impersonal. I am glad that the true children of God know Him by His holy names, that way we can feel closer to Him and it truly does put things in perspective. People can blaspheme, abuse the name of "God" all they want, of course I do not approve, but I know Him through the fullness of His name. Amen.

The other evening I was reading my Bible, flipping through like I normally do and ended up at Genesis. I was glad I ended up at Genesis because I wasn't in a "psalms" or "proverbs," or even "new testament" mood.

Genesis 17:1-5,

1And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

3And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

5Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

When I read verse 3, "And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying," I knew I had my next blog post. This is my life's desire. To worship GOD and have Him "talk with me." Sigh, it makes me smile ever so slightly and fills my entire being with joyfulness. The fullness of GOD my God. To have Him know you by name and even change your name to meet His holiness (see v. 5).

I knew I had found the core of my life in this very verse. All I have been saying for more than a year now: "I just want to love God." Loving Him is to worship Him and to worship Him is to obey His commands ("and be thou perfect," v. 1), and to delight in them.

I am so glad I got to blog this. Bless you all much this great day and this holiday season.

Best,
Whitney

Exodus 13:21, A Thousand Words Thursday #11

The great things we find on Tumblr.
A glimpse of what Exodus 13:21 may have resembled,

Exodus 13:21

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

Bless God for the image rendering capabilities used for Good. Our imagination exponentialized (yes, I just said "exponentialized.") Hehe.

Ugh

The worlds wisdom no longer makes sense to me, and the simple things no longer keep me. Are there any intellectuals? Are there any Spirit-driven folks? Anybody? The same old stuff I can learn on my own. Once we become elevated in the knowledge of Christ and all things holy, our mind takes on a shift. We are no longer stimulated by the things that used to entertain us. Some times now, they are even boring. To hear a pastor speak on milk is no longer appeasing. It is milk to us now. At the time it was meat. I need something higher than this thing that I've been seeing people talk about, on and on. Repetitive things. Extra things. I almost want to translate this into another language just to add some stimulation along the way. God, mercy, we need the Holy Spirit. O, O, O HOW DEEPLY I NEED YOU.

Visions of the Lord's Day

Good morning! I was GLAD when they said unto me, 'Let us Go into the house of the LORD!' How are you all this day? I made a vow to the tweets on Twitter that I would share online, the visions that the Lord gave me. This will be Good. This IS Good. This is Good because the Lord gave it to me and I feel so special that He did.

Here are the exact/very similar (in order to make it read well) words from my "dream journal," the very day that it happened. Please do not be put off too much by my use of the words "visions" and "dreams." I am not a prophetess (to my knowledge), but I am a woman of God. Who knows God and who hears from Him/can recognize His voice.

And these visions were so extravagant, and I was there. I felt like I was there. Like, smack-dab in the middle of it. Real-life "I was there." I am not well-versed in the terminology that saints use to describe "when they were IN the Spirit," so this is my best attempt to do so. God was able to develop the first dream/vision with me over time. Throughout my Bible studies with Him, I would be able to pick up on what related to the dream/vision and what was for that day.

Lesson: Power-struggles

There are stinky power-struggles going on in the Church, whose trigger words include: One Body, many gifts, schism and leadership. Put all of those key words together and you get something like: "Saints who hold their God-given gifts superiorly on top of others." ~WDJ. For example, "You're small, and I'm not." Now, this is the ministry of the SAINTS. This should not be happening in the BODY :(

"There must be balance, saints. The humble man who has Almighty Power." ~WDJ

"That child-like faith that transpires into mountains being moved, miracles occurring-- all under the authority of God." ~WDJ

Matthew 10:24-25,
24The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

The above scripture verse is telling us that, only in a house of Devils is the disciple above his master and a servant above his lord. We are One unit. There are many gifts in the Body, as scripture informs us [I Corinthians 12:10, 28].

I may have the gift of tongues, and you the gift of prophecy-- we are both Christ-certified. You are not MY leader, you are only my Friend. GOD Almighty is my leader, My Friend, and He works through you AND me. Even so, yes we are to desire to prophesy, because God says we should [I Corinthians 14:39].

Life 101: From Milk to Meat

Hebrews 5:13-14 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

All Talk and no Word

I hope we all know where this leads us. These short and pithy lines are what I was inspired to tweet yesterday night. I shared this with the folks on Twitter.

All talk and no Word, is stealing God's time. You're on His clock. All talk and no Word, starves you of your deliverance. All talk and no Word, deprives you of your breakthrough. All talk and no Word, will keep you from what God wants to bless you with. All talk and no Word, will keep you hungry for attention. All talk and no Word, will probably make you fall into sin.

Best,
Whitney

Is this milk, or meat?
What do you think?

I think there is a line in there for every person. I could "flesh" this out some, but I'm thinking it is easily explanatory as a stand-alone. Surely I could offer some biblical references.

I was telling a gal on Twitter the other evening that I desire to be [will be] spirit-led in all things. So, before I am to post anything to my devotional Twitter or my devotional blog, I want to be sure that it's not just me talking, but instead what God desires for His people to know and experience for themselves.

And it is so.
