Concerning the things God Forbade

Those who contact the dead; are a medium to dead spirits; those who allow their bodies to be channeled/entered by unfamiliar spirits; those who give voice to dead spirits:
Psalm 66:4
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Matthew 25:46
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Mark 12:27
He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

"Fireside" Thanksgiving

Went out with mom and sis this evening and I had my eyes set on Bath & Body Works. lol. I was interested in purchasing the Fall scents [Pecan Pie, etc] and any other similar items that may have been on discount. They didn't have those. Bummer.

Soooo, browsed around and found "Fireside" by Slatkin & Co. Phenomenal scent! Pick this up next time you're in there! I also bought "Gingerbread" scented lotion, which smells JUST like Pecan Pie Fall scent from last year! They totally just re-packaged it and gave it a new name, lol.

Anywho. I signed up for Bath & Body Works text messages a while back and received one the other day: spend $25, get 20% off entire purchase, until 12/14. YAHOO!! I did this deal and I'm so happy I did... love my Gingerbread lotion and Fireside candle!

Here is the family for this years Thanksgiving [Ctrl + click to see larger photo!];

Wintry

I am soooo in love with the scarves I bought recently, that blogging was a must.

I typically buy my scarves at Wal-Mart because they have great styles and [of course] affordable prices. And, this purchase was no different! All of these were an incredibly reasonable $7 each!!

That's gotta be my limit. Anything higher, no matter how cute it is-- stays in the store.

I got three, in three different colors; same style. They are scrunchy just as scarves are supposed to be, so there's automatic rouching, which means less effort when it comes to "styling" the scarf. I don't have many scarves, so these three make five total for my small collection.

They are soooo soft. Can I say that they feel like cashmere?! ...And, did I mention how gorgeous they are?!

Strange.

I'm so fascinated with the way I look in pictures. What is that about? I can sit for hours on end, fiddling around with my Twitter page, just staring at my avatar. I found myself doing this tonight, as soon as I changed my picture. This cannot be healthy.

I had the same problem with Facebook... or, on Facebook I should say. Imagine countless photo albums upon albums instead. That was before I deactivated my Facebook account though [go figure?]

Here's my recent photo. Taken in November, the day I got my new [DKNY] frames:

color

black and white

I really don't know what this is about. I don't even post many pictures on my blog for this very reason. I'm only the face behind the Spirit. God is in control of me.

And, sometimes I resent myself for being so absorbed in my beauty... [insert goofy laugh here]. I thank God for it, my attributes and all-- I wouldn't change it for the world.

I just pray sincerely that I do not become any less humble. It's pretty serious. I've considered, and have actually replaced my default pictures and avatars with images like a cross, a flower, or something similar... [you've seen those avatars too!] I love looking at myself, and that's the problem; but for many it's not! [??] It's all about personal conviction [see Book of Romans 12].

There's a scripture:
James 1:22-27, NKJV
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
26 If anyone among youb]" [b] thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

It is as if I may have somehow "forgotten" what I look like, since I have a tendency to stare at my photos for so long. So strange. There's a scripture for everything.

LORD, help us to be humble in Your sight. To be lowly in heart, spirit, thought and action. Meek in our [Your] ways and seeking Your face always for repentance. Lift us up in Your sight, according to Your will.

I Peter 5:6-11, NKJV
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; becausec]" [c] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But mayd]" [d] the God of all grace, who called use]" [e] to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

This is my blog and it's an account of my life, my pursuits, love and devotion to a HOLY and righteous God in Heaven. I desire not to see anyone stumble, beloved. BE in Christ. Let us examine our ways.
2 Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

In Christ,
Whitney

@ 11:01 p.m. Searched "the thoughts of man" on biblegateway.com... would you believe this is the single scripture it turned up? ... "The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity." Psalm 94:11.

Praying in the Spirit: The Quick Version

The LORD actually shared the following to me on Sunday, October 18, 2009. I'll do a quick version here, as I have written about it in my offline journal.

God does not want us to be concerned with what we're wearing or how clothed we are, while praying in the Spirit. [This is our time to focus on Him, what He will have us to say and the prayers that will be lifted up unto Him].

Think back to the Book of Genesis when the serpent revealed to Adam and Eve that they were naked. Being concerned with how clothed we are; hiding ourselves from the LORD, while praying in the Spirit [speaking in Tongues], interrupts our prayer. As soon as your thoughts shift from the things of God to being concerned with what you're wearing, that prayer line begins to dwindle. This is because you have began focusing on yourself and how you look, instead of focused on prayer and staying under the anointing of God's Spirit.

This is the same thing Adam did in the garden of Eden-- he was soooo concerned with how clothed he was [physically] that he HID himself from the presence of the LORD. And by hiding from the LORD, he was no longer in His presence; He was no longer covered [spiritually].
Genesis 3:6-11, emphasis added,

6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

8And they heard the voice [sound] of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

9And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself

11And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

...wasn't this the first sin?

When the GLORY of the LORD [His Spirit] descends on you; lands upon you, you are not to be concerned about how you are dressed! You are now in God's righteous, heavenly and HOLY presence! You are now clothed in THE SPIRIT. He will take care of you! Know this and trust in Him the next time His Holy Spirit falls upon you. LORD help us with this, in Jesus' Name. Help us to get over ourselves and consciously know that we are COVERED, in JESUS' Name!

In Christ, dear friend!,

Status Update #5: Seasons

Ecclesiastes 3:8-9, emphasis added,

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

This is where I am right now, saints. A new season in my life on this journey with Christ. And, I'm happy. I'm glad, I'm content. I'm JOYFUL... I'm at ease, at peace. AND, I thank God.

I'm very glad where I am right now in-Christ. Sooo grateful. A time of silence, a time of peace (see Ephesians 3:7-8). How lovely. Just pondering on Jesus day by day. Spending time with Him. Relishing our joy, our time and enjoying our sanctuary that we have built here at home.

HALLELUJAH!!
JOYFUL NOISE!

"Teaching" the Kingdom of God

Language.

That word; that one word.

The Spirit of God manifest within the heavenly language of speaking in tongues, the tongue of various nations; tribes and cultures... sign language. In every sense of the word.

Our world is not just this here America that we live in.

Our world and mission as children of GOD, is this world here and outside of the U.S. Think Africa, Japan, China, France, Germany.

Think.
How many people no not of Christ?

I'm not saying to go travel the world and preach the Kingdom of God (bless you if you can, but most of us cannot, nor is it our ministry in Christ to physically GO [see Matthew 28:19, Luke 4:43]). You don't even have to leave your home (Twitter, blogging), unless the Holy Spirit tells you that you must. Always listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit; LORD Jesus help us to do this.

Imagine the Gospel of Christ being ministered in different languages. How amazing is that; the thought? How amazing is that thought?! So amazing.

Selah.

Matthew 28:19

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Would You Believe???

Would you believe that you could go to Hell for not following the second commandment, which says "THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF?"

Well, this is exactly what the LORD revealed to me as I spent close time in study with Him six days ago.

The Second Commandment

I recorded it in my offline journal then, but have finally found some peaceful time to just sit and record it here as well.

I will give an overview of what I learned, as I have already recorded our study session in my personal hand-written journal. My prayer is that the LORD speaks to you through this post, and that you receive it in Jesus' name. And, if you will not receive it; I have done my part:
Matthew 10:14-15 says,

14
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Thank You, Jesus.

Before I began reading my Bible on October 15, 2009 I asked the LORD to lead me in scripture, where ever it was that He desired for me to go. I had no intentions of blogging about it... it was my intimate time with God, where I journal and keep record of our time together (3 full journals since I got saved in 2006, 1 half-full one, and one I just began). Not everything I have been obedient in blogging about; then again, Not everything is meant to be shared. And, if it is, God will give us the time upon which to share it.

Now,

The Second Commandment

There was a scriptural example on the first page of my Bible that I read from the Book of Mark.

Mark 12:29-31 says (bolded emphasis added),

29
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, HEAR, O ISRAEL; THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD:

30
AND THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND, AND WITH ALL THY STRENGTH: this is the first commandment.

31
And the second is like, namely this, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. THERE IS NONE OTHER COMMANDMENT GREATER THAN THESE.

..."THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. THERE IS NONE OTHER COMMANDMENT GREATER THAN THESE."

It was as if those words came to life for me at that very moment. I don't hate people, yet sometimes it is difficult for me to love them where they are. At times I just wish life would speed itself up and everyone could be saved, sanctified and totally committed to Christ; on-fire for Christ, baptized with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues-- the whole nine!

Can I admit that dealing with those who are not mature in Christ (which has nothing to do with speaking in tongues. I am talking spiritual maturity), irritates me at times? Not to the point where I lash out. But I do make faces, shake my head and eventually brush it off as "OK, that's how the world behaves." That's their excuse. They have an EXCUSE! That's my typical rationalization of the situation.

I think now, and I'm like "Yeah, OK LORD, I was there at one point." But, really what I'm constantly thinking is, "LORD, help them" and maan, was I dumb (in my past). I see it in others who are not mature in Christ. I observe their behaviour and think, "GEE, I'm so glad I'm not where they are, (where I used to be!)" It's like a genuine internal-"Thank-You,-JESUS!"

After reading the text on the page: THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. THERE IS NONE OTHER COMMANDMENT GREATER THAN THESE, in RED..., CAPITAL letters,
  1. I journaled: "I even told myself aloud today on the drive home from work: 'My flesh can't do it, my flesh doesn't want to!'"
  2. I paused.
  3. I looked up.
  4. I uttered aloud: "LORD, we're going to work on this?" Then I said, "Yes, we're going to work on this. I'm going to work on this!"

I then glanced down and saw Jesus' words in RED, on the page staring at me, which read "Thou art not far from the kingdom of God," Mark 12:34.

Before continuing on reading in scripture, I meditated on what I believe in my HEART that the LORD was speaking to me (Mark 12:34). God was telling me, paraphrased "You're almost there. You are not far from the Kingdom of God..." (Heaven!) Just a few more steps, beloved!!

I began crying. A light and humble cry. It was a joyful cry! A REJOICING cry!:
Mark 12:34 (emphasis added), says,

34
And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

After God revealed Mark 12:34 to me personally, the end result of this testimony is that God will help me with this inevitable thing that we must do as children and servants of God with the help of the Holy Spirit: "THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. THERE IS NONE OTHER COMMANDMENT GREATER THAN THESE."

I can't do it. This flesh can't do it; it doesn't want to! I don't know about your flesh, but mine doesn't want to! I'm happy with me and God only... everyone else can just be. It's only through HIM that I will be able to genuinely love and care about other people.

It was like a warning.
A warning to me.
A warning to share with you.

"I had no idea," I journaled.
"LORD GOD, I know You forgive me! Help me to know this. Help me to KNOW that people can go to HELL for this!"

We then went to Matthew 7:21-23 (emphasis added), which says,

21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Iniquity.

"Iniquity" in the last verse translates to lawlessness... Lawlessness-- did you catch that? Lawlessness means, having none or adhering to no law. Without law. Not obeying the commandments that were given to us by God Himself.

In the above verses, Jesus Christ is addressing the saints of God, those who are in Christ. We know this from verse 22 because the people who were crying out to God were the ones who professed Him as their Saviour: they prophesied and cast out demons.

...God told THESE people,

the people who were supposedly "in Christ,"

to DEPART from Him!

He told them to leave... they were sent to Hell!

Their gifts will be as filthy RAGS unto Him! (Holy Spirit gave me that one, just now 10/23/2009 @ 1:43 a.m.):

Isaiah 64:6 says (emphasis added),

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

You see that? Iniquities. Again.

...This is for me.
...This is for you.

The Holy Spirit led me to a very familiar verse, which I don't quote hardly ever (Hallelujah to Jesus),
Philippians 4:13 says,
13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

A WARNING FOR YOUR SOUL...

AND THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY STRENGTH: this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. There is none other commandment greater than these.

MARK 12:30-31...

Tweets

Alright saints, please excuse this post (or not?), but I must have somewhere to log my favorited tweets from Twitter. And, this is a blog so it only seems proper. "Blog" ..."log." Get that? I think that's it's purpose, si?

Tweeting is fun, but if you don't learn anything or don't have anything to look back on later, or to reference;... not to say that your work is in vain...? Twitter is a type of ministry for me, and so is this blog-- each of which glorify our Father! Thank You, Lord!

Will be updating this frequently. To view in a different window and toggle between the two, hold down the "Ctrl" button, and click the image.

Love you guys.

In Christ,
All honor and glory to Jesus,

Corrupt?

This is a screenshot of the google.com homepage today, at 1:54 p.m.

(be sure to click the picture to see it enlarged).

It's a barcode. The first thing that came to my mind was "yep, mark of the beast." hehe, call me a cynic... then I'll rebuke it.

Hehe.

google.com, corrupt or not-- I've never seen just a picture as their logo.

Weird, much?

Revelation 13 (emphasis added throughout)

1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9If any man have an ear, let him hear.

10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

LEAVE... In the Name of JESUS.

Yesterday evening I was suffering with what felt like a migraine! I had been on the computer for a while, trying to figure out all of this web design stuff for my new website (...website, not a blog), and maaan was my head throbbing.

I don't get headaches. Like, really. I don't get them, so I was perplexed and was deeply concerned about where this one came from.

So, I got offline and eventually went to my room to get some rest. The throbbing continued. At first I "hoped," y'all know how we hope for something, but don't really PRAY about it or CONFESS it/CALL it OUT with our mouths, in Jesus' name? lol, Lord GOD help us.

...Yea, that's what I was doing: hoping the headache away, hehe.

As I lie with my head on the pillow, I spoke "LEAVE, in the NAME of JESUS and return to where you came from." ...Said it very calm, with authority (confidence, faith)-- no doubting or wavering. I said it in FAITH that it would LEAVE. Therefore, it left. (see Ephesians 6:16).

That very moment.
It LEFT.
AND IT DIDN'T COME BACK.

I then said "Thank You, Jesus" and went to sleep. Good sleep, lol! Woke up at 8:30 a.m.!
Luke 10:19 tells us,
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (emphasis added)

As disciples of Christ Jesus, we must take His Word for what it says, implementing every thing through our God-given ability. He said that we will have dominion over all the earth. All things were created for Him, and we have power in the Name of Jesus, through Him as children of God!

Call these DEMONS out, call them OUT in Jesus' name! (Call OUT their names and call them OUT of YOU!) Don't be fearful.
Ephesians 6 10-24 says, (emphasis added throughout)

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Don't you know beloved, that in Jesus' name, ALL things are possible? There are some things that happen in the this flesh that were not ordained by GOD-- we must rebuke them and know that God will handle it. But, it will not happen unless you open your mouth (Proverbs 18:21):

Speak it forth.
Declare it.
Be unmovable (see I Corinthians 15:58).

We fight against the things going on in the spirit-world. This dimension of life exists and boy, is it ever-so-real. Don't let the enemy have dominion over you. He doesn't want you to exercise your spiritual gifts.

Whatever it is, headaches, migraines, psychosis, sickness/illness, dying persons (spiritually and physically), breast cancer-- whatever it is, rebuke it in Jesus' name if you know in your heart of hearts that you have that mighty power in Jesus' name.

Sweet Melody

Modestly singing, praising and being the midst of a holy God's presence, I was just listening to this song on Blip.fm. My eyes became glossy with tears.

I remember this song from throughout summertime 2009. First time I heard it. So light, humble and modest. I thank God for humble saints. My prayer lately has been to have a more contrite spirit and to loose the pride that I tend to cling onto... it's a very light sense of pride, but heavy enough to weigh me down-- it must to go. If it's not like You LORD, take it away in JESUS' name.

"Holy, Holy is the LORD Almighty," That melody gets me every time. Such a soft and sweet noise. I feel the anointing in my spirit when it sounds. The aroma of holiness is so sweet. I love You, Jesus... with my whole heart. I want Your ways, always. Within me. Throughout me. Manifested in me. Deep within me, pouring forth good fruit.

Exodus 15:11 says
"Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?"

Since September 28, 2009, God has assured, encouraged and equipped me with:

II Peter 3:13-14, which says
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
This scripture places songs of HALLELUJAH/SHEKINAH GLORY praise in my heart and in my spirit! God is saying that BECAUSE we look for, aspire to, have faith in and anticipate a glorious life with Him at His second coming... BECAUSE we look for these things, we need to be diligent, prayerful, vigilant, that at on that faithful Day of Judgment, that we are found blameless, clothed in holiness, righteousness and rightness before our Savior.

II Peter 3:13: An assurance.

II Peter 3:14: God is saying that we need to make an effort here and now, while we are still on this earth, to seek peace, pursue peace-- living peaceably with all men (see Romans 12:18)-- not being prideful, puffed up or full of self-righteousness. It's like a command; a reminder of what we need to do and how we must behave as saints of GOD.

...I do thank You LORD, for the things You have revealed unto me through Your Holy Word. I ask GOD, in Jesus' name, that you search my heart O God and renew a RIGHT spirit within me. Remove everything within me that is not like You. Take it away, and implant Your precious spirit forevermore overflowing with peace, righteousness, holiness and humility. I will seek Your face.

This is my prayer.

Russian Tea: Taste Love

Russian Tea has a very seasonal and delicate taste. To me, it's a special kind of tea... one that is enjoyed only during the Fall and Wintry months. I'm a big coffee-buff, so instead of having coffee in the evening because of the caffeine, I can enjoy a nice big cup of Russian Tea.

Rainy day outdoors. Chilly indeed. I tasted it for the first time since last year... the Russian Tea, this evening-- the mixture of all of the ingredients before they hit the hot water and ohhh the immediate thought that came to mind was "love."

YES, the Russian Tea tastes like LOVE. LOL. Extreme, nahh. Besides the fact that it's a warm beverage, the taste is so intricate, delectable and good memories come flooding in. Nothing in particular, just the IDEA and the THOUGHT of the cold-season weather.

Sip some of this warm drink and bask in the homemade goodness of LOVE!

Russian Tea

2 Cups Tang
1 Cup Instant Tea [I used Lipton Iced-Tea Mix]

A Tidbit on Fraternities and Sororities

To say the org is built on Christian values but still have members take an oath of secrecy is...I don't know....I've stopped being active in my sorority until I can figure certain things out.

Here's my current booklist; I plan on getting each book one day or another. I recommend the same for you and anyone else who is seeking clarification on these organizations:
  • "Greek-Letter Organizations: Offspring of Abomination" book by Gail Gray
  • "Coming Apart at the Seams" book by Minister Fred Hatchett
  • "The Truth Behind Hip Hop" book by G. Craige Lewis
  • "Captain of My Soul: A Memoir" book by Whitney Gracia Williams

Gail Gray is an ex-Alpha Kappa Alpha, Fred is an ex-Omega Psi Phi, and I have a friend who is an ex-Kappa Alpha Psi. On Fred's forum/discussion board (see link at end) there are several testimonies of those who have left Alpha Phi Alpha. My sister is a Delta Sigma Theta, but I'm believing GOD for her renunciation. If you ever need any help finding these books, or need someone to talk to about everything we've been discussing on this board, please don't hesitate to send me a PM or something. I know our LORD Jesus will give you revelation from the words written in these testimonies.

Throughout her testimony, Gail mentions whether or not "people came after her" after she denounced, etc and how God had her personally pack up and move like Abraham. She also mentions how people leave their organization because they have a conviction in their spirit that they cannot ignore (literally cannot ignore)... this is called an unction from the Holy Spirit.

One thing Gail mentions in her podcast that is crucial in understanding God's will for His people getting out of these organizations and NOT joining these organizations is: "the will of the FLESH" vs. "the will of GOD." The will of the flesh is powerful. She said that she willed it in her flesh for her to be a member of AKA. And to be careful because people will say "I prayed to the LORD, and that was my answer." (I actually knew an Alpha who told me this, God forgive him and LORD help us get into YOUR will, and OUT of our own).

Luke 22:42 says
42Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Gail encourages us to sincerely and in honesty pray in our hearts the prayer above that JESUS prayed, when asking the LORD Jesus about joining these organizations. All of the fraternities and sororities associate themselves (oaths of allegiance/secrecy or both) with a pagan/false god whether covertly or overtly (she also explains why they say they don't "worship" the god, but if you confess it with your mouth through the oaths, it becomes your god whether or not you bow down to it every day). It's a deadly spiritual bond/yoke.

If we let our own fleshly will go, we won't get caught up in these organizations which are displeasing to God our Father because it is not in His heavenly, holy and righteous will.

Listen to her podcast/TESTIMONY once, twice, three times... as many times as necessary; take notes. I've heard it at least seven times and I thank GOD for the undeniable truth in it (see link at end for Gail’s Testimony) Don't forget your other resources including your Bible.

I say, don't stop seeking the truth. The LORD Jesus will HONOR your search if your whole heart is in it. God keep you sis and I pray your strength and the strength of those reading this, and your personal continuing desire to please a HOLY GOD.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Mark 1:14-15 says
14Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Colossians 2:8
says
8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

The above is the end of my reply. This issue is not new to me, but I enjoy revisiting it at times and helping others realize the severity of sororities and fraternities and its detrimental effects on the spiritual-man. I thank GOD for the truth revealed throughout the testimonies and I hope you have learned something as well in order to make an educated and informed decision to NOT join or to get OUT.

God keep you, beloved,
Whitney

A young woman on longhaircareforum.com sent me a testimony of her experience. PRAISE GOD for her!!

Last year I went through a process and dropped right before the end because it did not sit well with me at all. I couldn't shake the thoughts and the feelings I had about it. Now looking back I'm glad I did. It was a conviction for ME. I was very clear as to why I dropped and it did create some serious tension but now everything is back to 'normal' as far as my relations with the other women and my would have been line sisters. Please pray if you are considering joining a sorority. There are things that don't tell you until you join. it's not as friendly and innocent as it seems.

Hey there,

Thank you so much for your testimony!!! That is so awesome and I thank GOD for you! That's so wonderful! If you ever see any girls struggling to make a decision, please allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into ministering to them about how it's against God's will. This is so important, as many people are suffering today as a result of a decision they made in college to pledge. Again, thank you so much! I'll be sure to share your testimony with others (I won't include your name if that's ok). How glorious is our GOD!!

New Look!

Is it Fall yet?

lol. I adore this new background. It's by far the boldest look we've had so far. I think I can live with it, how about you? I really do like it. We had the orange and blue background for 5 months...... 5 months! I fell in love with that one and I will miss it. But, as the seasons change, so must we.

This new background is not from our normal distributor, The Cutest Blog on the Block. THIS one is from Hot Bliggity Blog. They have some GORGEOUS... and I mean GORGEOUS backgrounds and I'm so glad I found them through Google.

Very VERY happy!,
Whitney

Ready for Fall!

So, right now I'm baking cookies.

Not just ANY cookies, THESE cookies are by Pillsbury...
but, not only that, they're called "Pillsbury Simply Cookies."

UHHMMM.

I'm a Media Studies graduate and this packaging completely and utterly appeals to me. I absolutely adore it. It's just as the title says "Simple(ly)." How yummy. Such a simple design and layout and ohhh how I love the ellipsis at the end, (the dot, dot, dot ...) and the white packaging. This stuff matters. I actually bought these cookies because the packaging itself looks so yummy! LOL.

Ready for Fall
Baking and shopping are such usual activities, but around this time baking and shopping make me think of the fall weather and the seasons changing. It's a new time of year, literally a new season. Season of life, season as it relates to my walk with Christ-- EVERYTHING.

...and, the holidays! Yes, Thanksgiving and Christmas! Ohhh the smile on my face. The food, family time and all that joy; I love it. Hmm, and if these cookies are what I hope them to be, they'll be a lot of baking going on too!

p.s. Don't forget the milk!

Saturday Songday #3

Listening to this song on iTunes inspired me to do a "Saturday Songday" post. I haven't written a "Saturday Songday" since March. Feels good. Must give honor and GLORY to GOD ALWAYS.

"Um Good" by Smokie Norful

Umm You've been good
If I never own a mansion
Way out on the hill
I'll never see riches, Lord I'll serve You still
If I lose all my possessions
And my health begins to fail
I can still say You've been good

If I wake up on tomorrow
Find that all of my love ones are gone
Look around and see that my friends are few
I'll still keep holding on
If I call and there's no answer
In the midst of my despair
I can still say Lord You've been good

You've been good oh yeah
Good, umm good (choir)
So as long as I live I'll tell the world God is good yeah oh
Good, umm good (choir)
I'm so glad to say right now
God is good (choir)

If I never visit Paris and enjoy that midday sun
If I never sail the seven seas oh
Before my work down here is done, oh
If I never see the ruins
Of that city that they call ancient Rome
I'm not worried because I can still say God I know that You, You've been good
Lord You've been good
Yes Jesus
Good, umm good (choir)
As long as long as long as I live I'm going to tell the world that God is good
Lord You've been good (choir)
Good, umm good (choir)
God is good

Good, umm good
Lord You've been good
Good, umm good
So glad to say, God is
So glad to say, God is
So glad to say, God is

You are a Father, Jesus
You are a Mother, Jesus
So glad to say, God is (choir)
You're everything that I need when I need it
So glad to say, God is (choir)

You're El Shaddai, Elohim
Yeeeaah
You've been real good
Yes Jesus, Ohhhh
I don't have to ask nobody
So glad to say, God is (choir)
You've been real good to me

Ohhhh
I'm glad I can say, God
Ohhhh You've been
Good.
