Emotionalism

"Anything can come along and make you feel good... tickle your fancy.... make you feel a "high", if you will. But if you're not careful, you can get so caught up in emotionalism (loose godly faith and trust), until any power/influence can fool you into thinking that the root of your feeling is of God.. or its "OK"... but the question is..what/who do you KNOW? because when the emotions fade/change,its what you KNOW that keeps your mind sane... its what you know that keeps u balanced.. its what you know that keeps you strong when the enemy tempts.. when pain and pressure come to "try" you, what is it that you KNOW.. do you KNOW who God is..do u know the "word"? what influence r u under.. emotion.. or Gods word??" ~Bro. Happy December 1, Saints!

It's December 1!! Happy Great last month of the year to you all! I've missed you all so much! I'm so glad to be here blogging, we've had such a perfect, blessed, indescribable year you wouldn't believe the joy I've experienced. What a mighty God we serve!

This evening my fiance and I are going to splurge on a wreath for his door! This is our first Christmas and we're going to make it memorable! He said he really wants one and I'm just so excited that he's as excited about holiday decorating as I am! We're also going to put up his Christmas tree!! I say "his" everything because we're not living together yet (that'll be when we get married in 3 months). So, until then we're decorating his home together.

I hope all of you had a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving. Daniel and I went to Baltimore, Maryland for the 63rd Annual Holy Convocation at their presiding Church. Oh what a prosperous time we had! There were bible forums and services all week long. The theme for the convocation was "Moving to the Next Realm." Each day was filled with two services (day & night), and bible forums. My sweetheart was even able to present at one of the forums on that Saturday. It was a blessing to see him speak to the congregation and their children. They prayed over us an engaged couple that the Lord would bless all that we put our hands to. So grateful for the people of God, bless Jesus.

Other topics included "Is It Worth the Rapture?" and how we must be subject to change. God, I am glorified in You. I am grateful to stand in Your presence and experience Your blessings. You are all that I ever dreamt of, and You've given me all that I could have ever imagined. My Lord I am blessed. I cannot glorify You enough. You've given me my dream-guy, and he even fits in with the vision You showed me on true holiness and being a help to God's people. Hummm, My God I love Jesus!! Not only because of the things He has done, but for Who He is!

Be blessed in Jesus' Name,
Whitney

Sunday Blessings: Getting a prayer through

The Lord has been doing some great teaching today. A few days ago, the Lord had been teaching me about prayer and how to really seek the LORD. If I haven't informed you all, which I'm sure I have not since I've not been blogging lately-- I am enrolled into Pastor Benny Hinn's School of Ministry and we're studying the ministry of intercession and intimacy with God.

God has chosen me to be a set apart lady, purposely planned for His ministry. In my lesson we're learning the Three Realms of Prayer and they are: Asking (is the outer court), Seeking (is the holy place) and Knocking (is the inner court, Holy of Holies). What's wonderful is that the Lord had Pastor Wil (my local pastor/teacher) to preach on it today at service.

He was saying the very things Benny Hinn was saying this past week in terms of Luke 11:9, "And I say unto you, Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you." It wasn't until this verse did I see the words "Ask, Seek, Knock" in one complete scripture.

The people of GOD are not getting prayers through because "Asking" is the realm of prayer in which we are in the flesh (outside-- outer court), we cannot touch God in this realm because you have yet to enter In. The outer court is always going to be: "God give me, Lord give me, Lord forgive me." It's our flesh; in the first realm we ask as our flesh does.

It's not until we get to the Holy of Holies do we really touch God. AND even then, it's not about us. Before touching the holiest place of Jesus here on earth, we must move then to the second realm of prayer, the holy place-- or, "seeking" realm. Seeking realm is not seeking God for what He can do for you (that is the outer court, where no outside man can expect to receive anything of God)-- it is more of a seeking His Fellowship. Seeking Him to come abide with you, commune with you, to dwell with you.

This is setting the stage for the Holy Spirit to come down.

For example;

  1. You begin by repenting (outer court),
  2. Then you move to seeking God's Holy Spirit to come down (holy place),
  3. And thereafter God's Spirit has began to visit you, you really begin melting in His presence and abiding with Him (inner court, Holy of Holies)

It's like you have to allow the LORD to cleanse you before you can even touch His robe. It's as if you must WASH YOUR HANDS and purify your hearts before entering in. And as Pastor Wil was ministering, prayers go unanswered because people are not bringing their sin before the throne of God. The people are not repenting of their wrongdoing before God's altar, amen.

Not repenting of wrong is only one of many reasons why people are not seeing God move. The other two were, asking with wrong motives (not a pure heart-- ie; "asking amidst that they may consume it upon their own lusts"), and lastly, asking outside the will of God. To know God's will, you must stay where He is at all times, to know where He is at all times, you must commune with Him to really know his Spirit. After a while, your will begins to become GOD's will in a sense that you begin to desire the things He desires. And if you desire the things God desires and what God desires for you, there's nothing that He won't do.

Bless you,
Whitney

Are Unlearned Women More Attractive?

Hey guys! How's everyone! What a great summer this has been so far. Really enjoying myself.

So I have this little philosophy that I wanted to blog about. For some reason or another, I feel like a saved man thinks he can train an unlearned woman. As long as she looks good. A woman who doesn't look good can be learned, but if she's unattractive, she more than likely doesn't have a man or will have a hard time getting one. Plainly: She can be learned and still not have a man because of her looks.

I've seen this in my friendships and even in my own relationship with my sweetheart. For example, I'm still in the learning phase of cooking, but because I am attractive, my fiance can wait. Yet, if I was unattractive and couldn't cook, it would be a different story.

As for the other relationships that I have peeked in on, one girl wasn't saved yet, or where she should be in her spiritual walk as compared to the guy who wanted to talk to her; but because she was cute and looked good, he went for her anyway (that's a problem and may be an extreme annotation).

Yet, I can count four times where I have noticed this. It is somewhat strange to me, although I do know that men are drawn by sight.

What are your thoughts? Will a man talk to a woman who is unlearned just because she looks good?

Courtship: A Deeper Connection

What I've found along the Way that lines up with my intentions and purpose concerning courtship and marriage:

All are excerpts from this article I'm reading: http://www.boundless.org/2005/answers/a0002415.cfm by John Thomas of Boundless.org.

To love is not to share all the same interests, but it is to value those the other person has.

If marriage is anything, it is a deep-level connection. ... Connecting at deeper levels develops over time as trust grows and as an individual feels they are in a safe place to share at that level.

Enjoying one another’s company is a great starting place for any relationship and obviously a requirement, but we can only talk about the weather for so long.

Conversations that touch at the level of emotions, ranging from joy to pain, are the ones that create heart connection.

Remember what you’re doing: First, you’re trying to discern whether you’re in unity on core values and second, whether you can connect at the level of emotions.

My Faith was on FIRE

A friend just posted a video about a man being raised from the dead. A doctor who was also a believer and follower of Christ, was led to pray for a man who suffered a massive heart attack and had been dead for over one hour. He was turning blue and his body was beginning to decompose. The man lived.

This made me think of a very real event in my life. I remember hearing a story on the local news about a little girl who was abused, raped and kept several days by a man close to her. He abused her to the point of her being in a coma I believe. She was near death. They had been reporting on her story for several days now. I remember her story coming again upon the television. They were reporting live from the hospital down the road, following this little girls every move.

I remember the urge to go lay hands on her. Like, literally go put my hands on her and say a prayer. The live coverage was still broadcasting and I walk toward our kitchen window. My faith was on fire within me. I wanted to go to the hospital and go do this thing but I had no one to go with me. I knew this girl was to live. I needed someone to go with me!! Nobody of faith was nearby. I thought of my friend Shannon. She lives not to far from here. I did not call her. I know if she was around that she would go with me. And, she would be praying with me. The girl ended up dying that day.

I think within me. LORD, my faith was on FIRE!!! My faith was on fire!! This is what ministry is about. Two by two saith the Lord! TWO BY TWO!! Lord knows I should have been there, I couldn't go alone so I thought! God is GOOD and I desire to do mighty things in His Name! Lord be with your Best, Your special ones that they may go boldly! Go boldly!! And bring us a friend to come with us along the way!

There is a Call to Repent ..

Right now.

There is a call to repent. This is what the Lord wants the saints to know. On February 17, 2011 I came across two accounts where saints were speaking of the Lord's call to repent. One was about "instead of repenting, the people chose to appear righteous before the people." The other was about "a call to repent" and how the LORD GOD has your number. He knows how to reach you but will you answer ..

1. Instead of repenting these men chose to appear righteous to the people. http://bit.ly/gjo4Lm

2.Prophecy 119 - 2011 A Call To Repent Or Perish, YAH Has Your Number!!! http://t.co/yI4iuN2

There are two additional accounts of where I know the Lord was saying that this is dire. His people will not move forward if they do not repent.

3. So on February 24, 2011 pastor Wil spoke on Jeremiah 14:10-12, 13, 14-15. If you disregard the call to repent, nothing changes within you. You'll continue to go to church out of form and fashion, but regrettably there will be no inward change. Bless you if this is for you. 1. is to repent, 2. is to acknowledge [sin] through repentance and confession.

4. Now is the parable of the Marriage Feast found in Matthew 22. This came on yesterday.

Matthew 22:2-5
2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

This scripture meant so much to me. As God is not stagnant, His words are neither. There are several revelations of this scripture. One as it relates to our lesson is that many are invited, but few choose to accept.

Don't make light, saints. There needs to be an alarm clock on our lives .. an alarm clock to wake us up from our slumber. God Abba we bless You this day. This day for Your Word, this day for Your son. Make not light of God's call. His hand is upon your life. You must answer His call.

The Message Version says, "They only shrugged their shoulders and went off, one to weed his garden, another to work in his shop." Matthew 22:5, MSG

Let us not be like the foolish men in Matthew 22:5 who made light of God's call on their lives.

Bless! And may God abide in you,
W

Enter With Your Eyes Open!: Courtship, Marriage & Covenant

An excerpt from "Reversing the Marriage Implosion: The Covenant" by Dr. Robert Reccord, http://www.believe.com/articles/Relationships/Reversing-the-Marriage-Implosion-The-Covenant/

Enter With Your Eyes Open!

As marriages hurtle into the future before them, we must remind every couple to keep their eyes open for the needs and fears of the other. A wise, seasoned counselor told me years ago that the greatest need of women is security, and her greatest fear is insecurity. Conversely, the greatest need of a man is adequacy, and his greatest fear, inadequacy. If only my wife and I had been told this before we got married, not years later!

Within every wife, there is a little girl craving to hear that she is pretty, valued, treasured and loved. She can handle multiple moves, shaky finances, job difficulties and worse as long as she is relationally secure with her man. Every husband longs to hear, “I’m proud of you because…” He yearns to know he is adequate in his leadership. In conference after conference, women sit stunned when my wife asks men to lower their head and raise their hand on what they would prefer to hear from their wife: “I love you,” or “I’m proud of you.” “I’m proud of you” wins hands down (or up in this case). Even the makers of Viagra and Calais understand a man’s passionate desire to be adequate!

So, what implosions might be avoided if every couple walking toward the altar were clearly guided on the foundational need/fear of their potential mate? It would so clearly show how our IEDs (improvised explosive devices) of words and actions within marriage can rupture the infrastructure of our relationships and bring our homes crashing in around us.

Maybe right now is a good time for you to assess yourself and the needs of the loved one in your life. What do you see that you might not have seen before? What are you going to do about it?

"Bow Down and Worship Him" by Bishop Paul Morton

How Christians should pray for the sick

How Christians should pray for the sick

by Karla Perry

http://www.helium.com/items/2084242-healing-the-sick

Magic words are not to be found when seeking how to pray for the sick. Looking at the life of Jesus we see many ways He released healing for there was no model that fit all people. Just the same, we should not seek to employ a model prayer or methodology when praying for the sick. In fact, Jesus seldom, if ever, “prayed for the sick.” He simply made them well by speaking words of life.

We must remember that Jesus modeled the Christian life for us showing us what is possible when we live from His reality of intimacy with the Father. Jesus was certainly God, but Philippians 2 tells us that He gave up the equality with God to be made as man for us. His identity did not change, He was fully man and fully God, but for a while He lived as a man rightly related to God showing us who we are. Therefore, when someone needs healing we do as Jesus does, not as He did, but as He is doing.

We do not have to look up the Scripture and copy what Jesus did when He healed a blind mind, placing mud and spit in his eyes. However, we do need to do as Jesus is doing when we stand before a blind man. Maybe He is showing us to put our hands on his eyes, or maybe He is simply saying “see” or “be healed” or “eyes open.” His authority is in us when we are walking in His Kingdom which is our true abode.

Sometimes, we release breath, or lay hands upon the afflicted area where appropriate. Other times, we speak forth a release of healing telling bones to come into alignment, a new kidney to grow, a heart to pump normally, a back to straighten, or lungs to breathe. We may see a picture of something God wants us to do that may be pretty strange like when Jesus used mud and spit. It is also possible that God will reveal that there is an afflicting spirit that needs to leave.

Healing does not always happen instantly. It could begin and take a several days to complete. There is no normal standard for how it works. It does not always happen. While we can do the things Jesus did and greater, we are still learning and we have to face the times when people do not get healed completely or at all.

The important thing is not to make doctrines concerning our lack of power. Never should we blame the sick person. Just because Jesus told some “your faith has made you well” does not mean that a person is sick because they did not have enough faith. A dead person has no faith, and yet there are many account of a dead man coming to life.

One thing you can be sure of, if you don’t “pray” for people to get healed you won’t ever see anyone get healed. But you will start seeing healings take place if you step out and pray for that healing. Again, “pray” is a term overly utilized by Christians. Its prayer in a sense, but really it’s releasing His power that is resonating in you because of His Spirit flowing through you. Simply tell the blind eyes to open or tell the pain to leave the backache. Jesus gives us that authority to release healing, exercise that authority and watch what He does.

Saturday Songday #6

♫ ♪ Hosanna by Hillsong ♫ ♪

I really fell for this song. Every song I post is something special. Get to know these lyrics. "Hosanna" is a Greek word from Hebrew, which means "oh save!" Hosanna is an exclamation of adoration. It's most prevalent references are in Matthew 21:9 and Mark 11:10.

Matthew 21:9
And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

Mark 11:10
Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

I see the King of Glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes
The whole earth shakes

I see His love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing

I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees

Heal my heart and make it clean

Reading ~ Rene Noorbergen

"Charismatic’s two leading components, speaking in tongues and faith healing, are largely responsible for this, and even such major secular publications as Time and Life have recognized the relentless force of these two elements." ~ http://gospel-herald.com/noorbergen/glossolalia_book_1/g1_ch1_3.htm

I never had any idea that this is what the "Charismatic" denomination was and is, although you probably could infer its meaning from just the definition of this word alone. Now in our political age, we see "Charismatic" as "our president," Martin Luther King Jr, or some similar figure who speaks smooth and convincing words. Never did I realize there was a "Charismatic" denomination ... I did not look at it intently any way. I would see the option, like on a check-box or something, but never did I know what it implied.

Very good to know that Charismatic denomination's two main components are speaking in tongues and faith healing. This may be cause for fear, however, because charismatics (not "charismatics" as in "people," but the act of charisma-- CHARISMATICS) do seem like they would involve irrational, unlikely, and non-conventional doings. Hm. Daunting. Yet, this is what I am passionate about; my new-found word thanks to this book-- "faith healing," miracles, laying of hands, LANGUAGE. So we have Pentecostal/Holiness, Apostolic ... and now "Charismatic."

It seems like much of what we should be reading, and much of what we should know is lost in books. Lost in books in that no one is reading them, no one is passing the information along. If you do not read the books, the information will remain hidden. Tonight I learned a new word, "GLOSSOLALIA." This is pretty much a code-word for THE ACT OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES. ... ahem, an "academic term." It comes from the Greek for "tongue speaking." So I began my search for books on glossolalia. Call me a conspiracist, but everything is hidden. How do we know what to search for if we don't search it out?

It was so incredibly beautiful, I do not believe I will forget this day. I remember going on the balcony with a cup of coffee, my Bible, and my cell phone. I took pictures of the sunrise with my camera phone, the photos you are seeing now. I also sent tweets to Twitter regarding everything that was unfolding before my eyes.

There were these two beams of sunlight shooting down from clouds covering the sun, it was almost miraculous it was so beautiful. You can barely see the two sun rays on this photo, but they are on the far left. Then the two sunbeams evolved into four. It was really special.

A Beacon of Light

It's like, do you know what a beacon of light is? It is an angel. Why do you think people use light for healing powers? They are manipulating the energy in the atmosphere for their own benefit. It is counterfeit.

However,

I say that people are outrageous because [this was the title of this post, but I have modified it for the sake of the sensitive], I was watching the guiding angels segment on the old Discovery Health Channel (new Oprah Winfrey Network) and they had this story where the outline of an angel appeared in the doorway of this little girls hospital room who was about to be taken off life support. The cameras captured the image. The trick to this show is that there was one skeptic, and one believer who were the main constituents of this television program. The girl was a scientist who was set on proving her hypothesis, so they had a professional video expert come in and re-create the image of the light that was captured on the camera.
